Fastspring Referral Widget Integration

Launching Fastspring referral widget is very simple with invitereferrals.com. If you are not signed up with InviteReferrals already, you’ll need to do so. Please sign up and create a referral campaign first. Sign up for free now !!

Follow these steps to integrate InviteReferrals:

1.  Login to your Fastspring dashboard. And click on “External Tracking”, Under “Tracking”.

2.  Under “Actions”, click “Add Custom Tracking Method”

3. Copy InviteReferrals integration code

Get your InviteReferrals integration code from the documentation section -> Javascript code. First login to the site and then copy  the code so that the secret keys are already prefilled.

4.  Paste the integration code in “</body> (before)” box and give ‘name’ as “Invite Referrals”.

Make the following changes in the code you copied after pasting in the box :

1. Remove “<div id=’invtrflfloatbtn’></div>” tag.

2. Put “<![CDATA[” after “<script>” tag and “]]>” before “</script” tag.

3. Insert ” orderID : ‘#{orderItem.subscription.reference}’ ” parameter in “invite_referrals.auth” as shown in figure below.

save the changes and move it to active mode.

5.  In “Invite Referrals” admin panel, under “edit campaign section”, set conversion page as shown below.

Thats it! Your Fastspring referral widget is ready. You can customize anything from the admin panel. No code changes are needed on your fastspring.
